Responsible gaming
Playing responsibly – we play fair
Gambling is enjoyable, and when combined with the casino atmosphere, it becomes an even more exciting experience. Casino games are an attractive option when you want to take risks and try your luck. It’s safe as long as gambling remains under control. Most casino visitors enjoy this form of entertainment without any issues. However, there is a small group of people who have lost control over their lives. In the winning phase, they may believe they can influence game outcomes, while in the losing phase, they are convinced their luck will soon turn around.
When you win, you might realize that you’re using all the money you’ve won. When you lose, you continue playing in an attempt to recover everything. At this point, your gambling is no longer just entertainment; it becomes an obsession.
Play Mindfully
Gambling can be addictive and can be diagnosed as an impulse control disorder, but it’s also treatable. Most people can keep their gambling under control (and are not at risk) and are unlikely to develop pathological gambling. Various studies have shown that about 5-10% of frequent casino visitors are dependent gamblers.
Compulsive Gambling
When does a player become addicted? It happens when a compulsive gambler’s personal life starts to suffer due to their passion for gambling. There are several simple tests that help identify gambling urges based on assessing signs of impulsive behavior. Signals indicating a disorder include an inability to stop gambling, borrowing money for gambling purposes, changes in the player’s character, lying and secrecy, regret over gambling, and shame related to risking employment, family, etc., due to gambling.
Professional Help
If you don’t want to become a compulsive gambler, it’s recommended to set certain limits for playing games – “not longer than an hour,” “not more than n euros,” and so on. Once a person becomes a compulsive gambler, they can submit a written request to be banned from entering the casino for a specified period. Seeking professional help is advisable because overcoming this type of pathological behavior on one’s own is very difficult. Support from family and friends is also crucial, as individuals who have succumbed to pathological gambling are often unable to seek and find professional assistance.
